Privacy Policy

Our Privacy-First Approach
SitemapForge is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe that sitemap generation and validation should not require collecting or storing your personal data or website information.
Data Collection
✓ What We Collect: NONE
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or website data to our servers.
How SitemapForge Works
Manual Sitemap Generation
- All URL processing happens in your browser (client-side)
- XML generation is performed locally on your device
- No data is sent to our servers
- Generated sitemaps remain on your device until you download them
Website Crawling
- When you use our crawler feature, our servers temporarily fetch pages from the target website
- Crawled data is processed in memory and immediately discarded after sitemap generation
- No URLs, content, or metadata are stored in databases
- The operation is completely stateless
Sitemap Validation
- Validation can be performed entirely client-side (paste or upload modes)
- If validating by URL, our server fetches the sitemap temporarily
- Validation results are generated and returned immediately
- No sitemap content is stored or logged
User History & Settings
SitemapForge uses your browser's IndexedDB to store:
- Generated sitemaps: Last 20 sitemaps you've created (stored locally in your browser)
- Tool configurations: Your preferred settings (priority, change frequency, etc.)
- User preferences: Interface preferences and tool history
Important: All this data is stored exclusively in your browser. It never leaves your device. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings or our interface.
Third-Party Services
SitemapForge does not use:
- Analytics or tracking services (no Google Analytics, no cookies)
- Advertising networks
- Social media tracking pixels
- Third-party authentication providers
Server Logs
Our hosting provider (Vercel) maintains standard server access logs for security and performance monitoring. These logs may contain your IP address and browser information but are automatically deleted after 30 days. We do not access or analyze these logs for tracking purposes.
Data Security
Since we don't collect or store user data, there's no risk of data breaches involving your personal information or website data. All communication with our servers uses HTTPS encryption.
Your Rights
Because we don't collect personal data, there is no data to:
- Request access to
- Request deletion of
- Request correction of
- Export
Any data stored locally in your browser can be deleted by clearing your browser's storage or cache.
Children's Privacy
SitemapForge does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

Summary
TL;DR: We don't collect your data. Everything happens in your browser or is processed temporarily and immediately discarded. Your privacy is protected by design, not just by policy.
